Vasari – Choral Masterworks 3
24th July 2010 7.30pm Â
The concert will feature three of the most intimate and powerful choral works in the choir's repertoire for which we have received some of our finest performance accolades, and music commissioned by the choir with direct links to Canterbury Cathedral.
The concert will also include a new work (in memoriam Allan Wicks) by former Canterbury Cathedral chorister and now eminent conductor and composer, Stephen Barlow. We will also perform a new work by the brilliant composer Gabriel Jackson (also a former Canterbury chorister), written for and to be premiered in the cathedral at the memorial service for Allan Wicks on Friday 22nd May.
Vaughan Williams: Mass in G Minor
Herbert Howells: Requiem
Parry: Songs of Farewell
